You can also study abroad outside the Erasmus program as a "free mover" at any university in Europe or overseas.
From a study point of view, this hardly differs from an Erasmus stay. You apply to a university in the same way and create a learning agreement.
However, you do not have the financial and organizational support of the Erasmus program and must pay tuition fees, some of which can be very high.
In addition, the visa process is more elaborate for non-European countries.
Studying abroad at American top universities can usually only be financed through correspondingly high scholarships (e.g. Fullbright or DAAD). Some of our students have also already gone to Australia, for example, where tuition fees are only required for individual courses. Here, tuition fees of about 2,000 € are incurred, which can already be financed by smaller scholarships (e.g. PROMOS).
